In the early 2000s, on the lively campus of MES College, Kuttipuram, two young men stood on opposite sides of a battle that had nothing to do with politics or war — and everything to do with pride. Ashar Ameer, the tech-savvy Computer Science student. Riaz K Mohammed, the hands-on Mechanical Engineering talent. Their departments were notorious for friendly feuds that often boiled over into full-blown confrontations. They weren’t enemies, but they weren’t exactly friends either. Life moved on. Both took to entrepreneurial path , meeting once a year for change of tyres for Ashar’s vehicle as Riaz owned the best tyre dealership in town . Then, one ordinary evening, fate slipped into the room. Over a cup of tea, filmmaker Salam Bukhari began narrating a story. For Riaz, it was an instant spark — a chance to return to the cinematic world he had once stepped into as an actor. Ashar, was reluctant. Movies weren’t on his to-do list.
What followed were days of persuasion, friendly arguments, and soul-searching. Finally, Riaz delivered the line that would seal their destiny:
